Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32 DKA — Satin Black Superstrat for the Working Shredder

The Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32 DKA Satin Black delivers classic Jackson shred tone at a working-musician price. A poplar body with arched top pairs with a bolt-on maple speed neck reinforced by graphite rods, holding up to dropped tunings and aggressive whammy work. Two Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets drive thick, articulate tone for metal and hard rock.

What Sets This Superstrat Apart

The arched top on the poplar body breaks away from flat-top superstrat conventions and gives the JS32 DKA a more sculpted silhouette. Jackson pioneered the 12"-16" compound-radius fingerboard design, and the version here lets chord work feel natural at the nut while lead playing and bending stay fluid higher up the neck.

Body Construction — Lightweight Poplar With an Arched Top

Poplar balances weight, resonance, and affordability, making it a smart choice for a stage guitar carried to gigs night after night. The arched top adds visual depth without much mass, and the satin black finish keeps the surface grippy and reflection-free under stage lights.

• Body Material: Poplar — resonant and lightweight for long sets
• Body Finish: Satin — non-reflective surface that feels smooth under the forearm
• Body Shape: Dinky® with arched top — classic Jackson superstrat contour

Neck & Fingerboard — Built for Speed and Stability

A graphite-reinforced maple neck with a scarf joint resists warping under heavy string tension, which matters when players drop to lower tunings or use the tremolo aggressively. The compound-radius amaranth fingerboard is rounder near the nut for rhythm work and flattens toward the upper frets.

• Scale Length: 648 mm — long-scale feel for tight low-end and snap
• Neck Material: Maple with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint — stable under tremolo abuse

Electronics & Hardware — High-Output Humbuckers and a Real Locking Tremolo

The HH pickup configuration uses two Jackson high-output humbuckers with ceramic magnets, voiced for thick, articulate high-gain tone that cuts through a dense mix. A three-way blade switch, single volume, and single tone control keep the layout simple.

• Pickup Configuration: HH (Jackson high-output humbucking, ceramic magnets) — thick, articulate tone for metal and hard rock
• Bridge: Floyd Rose® licensed Jackson® double-locking tremolo — dive-bomb stability with reliable return-to-pitch

Who Should Play the Jackson JS32 DKA Satin Black

The Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32 DKA Satin Black is the right choice for intermediate to advancing rock and metal players who want a real superstrat with a working locking tremolo at a price that doesn't require a flagship budget. It suits bedroom players practicing sweep arpeggios, gigging guitarists who need a backup that handles dropped tunings, and students ready for a more aggressive setup.

Jackson JS Series — Affordable Access to the Shred Heritage

Jackson built its reputation in the 1980s on superstrat designs favored by hard-rock and metal guitarists, and the JS Series carries that DNA into a more accessible price tier. The Dinky Arch Top JS32 DKA distills the brand's signature elements — pointed 6-in-line headstock, sharkfin inlays, high-output humbuckers, and a locking tremolo — into one instrument that brings classic Jackson tone to players building their gear collection.
