Two 15.6" Full HD touchscreens, 24 motorized faders across six layers, and dLive-class processing put flagship-grade power into a compact, roadworthy chassis.
- 64 input channels expandable to 96 with the dPack upgrade, paired with 42 configurable buses (56 with dPack)
- XCVI 96 kHz FPGA core delivers 0.7 ms round-trip latency for confident in-ear monitoring and tight FOH response
- 12 analogue XLR inputs and outputs plus AES I/O, BNC word clock, and dual 128×128 I/O ports for Dante, MADI, Waves, and gigaACE cards
- 12 RackExtra FX slots with dedicated stereo returns, plus optional DEEP processing, Dyn8, and RackUltra FX engines
Allen & Heath Avantis — dLive-Class Mixing in a Compact Console
The Allen & Heath Avantis is a 64-channel / 42-bus digital mixing console engineered around the 96 kHz XCVI FPGA core, delivering 0.7 ms round-trip latency for confident in-ear monitoring. Built for touring, houses of worship, and broadcast, the platform inherits the dLive processing pedigree in a compact dual-touchscreen chassis. With 12 high-headroom preamps, AES digital I/O, BNC word clock, and dual 128×128 option-card slots, the Avantis slots into almost any production environment.
XCVI FPGA Engine and dLive-Grade Processing
At the heart of the Avantis sits the 96 kHz XCVI FPGA engine, the same processing core that powers Allen & Heath's flagship dLive consoles. The dPack software upgrade unlocks the full DEEP processing suite — boutique preamp, compressor, and expander emulations running natively with zero latency and no FX slot consumption. Dyn8 delivers four bands of dynamic EQ plus four bands of multiband compression in a single engine.
64-Channel Architecture Built for Complex Productions
The mix engine scales from 64 input channels and 42 configurable buses out of the box to 96 channels and 56 buses with dPack, for larger shows without changing consoles. A fully configurable bus architecture means any mix can be aux, group, matrix, or FX send, while 16 DCAs and AMM (Automatic Mic Mixer) across up to 64 channels and four zones keep spoken-word panels and conference setups under control.
- Number of Channels: 64 (expandable to 96 with dPack) — headroom for full band plus extensive I/O patching
- Number of Preamps: 12 on-board XLR — direct connection for stage sources, playback devices, and talkback
- Phantom Power: Yes — condenser mics and active DI boxes powered from the console
Dual Touchscreens and 144 Fader Strips in a Compact Frame
Two 15.6" Full HD capacitive touchscreens with gesture control anchor the workflow, while 24 motorized faders across six layers deliver 144 assignable fader strips. The 24 assignable SoftKeys, configurable rotary encoders, and dedicated copy/paste/reset buttons speed up channel setup.
- Fader Strips: 144 (24 faders × 6 layers) — every input, bus, DCA, and FX return reachable without menu diving
- Touchscreens: Two 15.6" Full HD capacitive displays — gesture-based Continuity UI keeps the engineer in the mix
- SoftKeys: 24 assignable — tap-tempo, scene recall, and custom macros within fingertip reach
Expandable I/O and Studio-Grade Effects Built In
Local I/O covers 12 balanced XLR inputs, 12 balanced XLR outputs, AES in/out on XLR, and BNC word clock. Two I/O ports each handle 128×128 channels at 96 kHz and accept Dante, MADI, Waves, and gigaACE option cards, while the SLink port connects the entire Allen & Heath expander range — including dLive and GLD stage boxes.
- Inputs: Balanced XLR, Word Clock (BNC), XLR (AES/EBU), etherCON — analogue, digital, and network audio on a single back panel
- Outputs: Balanced XLR, Headphone Jack 3.5 mm TRS, Headphone Jack 6.3 mm TRS, Word Clock (BNC), XLR (AES/EBU), etherCON — monitor mixes and multitrack feeds without adapters
- Internal Effects: Yes — 12 RackExtra FX slots with dedicated stereo returns — reverbs, delays, and modulation without external racks
Engineers Who Need dLive Power Without the dLive Footprint
The Avantis is the right choice for live sound engineers, houses of worship, theatres, and rental companies who need dLive-class processing in a compact dual-touchscreen chassis. Touring monitor engineers benefit from the 0.7 ms latency and 12 RackExtra FX slots, while worship teams and corporate AV teams gain a console that volunteer operators can learn quickly thanks to the built-in help system, MixPad wireless control, and OneMix personal monitoring apps.
Allen & Heath — British Engineering for the Live Stage
Allen & Heath has been designing professional mixing consoles from its base in Cornwall, England, for decades, with the dLive, GLD, and SQ ranges trusted on stages and in studios worldwide. The Avantis sits between the SQ series and the flagship dLive, bringing the 96 kHz XCVI FPGA engine to a compact dual-touchscreen chassis for the touring, worship, and rental markets.
