Stagecraft Picante (Digitales Produkt)

Stagecraft Picante — Creative EQ and Saturation Plug-In

The Stagecraft Picante is a compact software plug-in that blends a full-range multiband graphic EQ with soft saturation and limiting, giving producers a fast way to shape tone and add character. It works as a tone shaper, graphic equalizer, and light distortion in one interface, letting you push a clean signal into a sweet, gritty, or hard-edged sound. The plug-in runs in VST3 and AU formats on macOS 11+ and Windows 10+, shipped as a perpetual full-version digital download.

What Makes This Plug-In Unique

Developed with Dr Chris Warren (Superhoax), creator of the EchoThief impulse-response library, this plugin is adapted from his original MaxForLive patch. A variable Q control pushes any band's resonance toward ringing, while the limiter-and-saturation combo produces a light push-overdrive that brings out grit in horns and vocals while keeping the underlying tone intact.

Who This Plug-In Is For

This plug-in is the right choice for producers and sound designers who want a characterful EQ-plus-saturation tool for shaping horns, saxophone, vocals and other sources. Beginners will appreciate the simple graphic interface, while advanced users can push the variable Q into otherworldly ringing territory for creative sound design.
